The North-East coast of Zakynthos is renowned for two things: its crystalline, emerald waters and its lack of crowds. Unlike the sandy, busy beaches of the south, our coastline offers dramatic white pebbles, natural spas, and absolute privacy.

Staying at The Luminous Villa places you in the heart of this pristine region. Here are the neighbors you need to know.

Pelagaki (Little Xigia): The Hidden Gem Often overlooked for its bigger sister, Pelagaki offers the same stunning white scenery but with fewer visitors. It requires a walk down some steps, which keeps the crowds away and preserves its wild beauty.

Xigia Beach: Nature's Private Spa The Wellness Choice. Just a short drive away lies Xigia, famous for its sulfur-rich springs that flow from the nearby caves into the sea. The water here contains natural collagen and minerals, offering a therapeutic spa experience in the wild. Insider Tip: Go early in the morning to have this natural spa entirely to yourself.

Makris Gialos: The Emerald Icon The Photogenic Choice. With its deep emerald waters and white pebble shore, Makris Gialos looks like it was plucked straight from a glossy travel magazine. The water is deep and exceptionally clear, making it a paradise for snorkeling.

The Vibe: Sophisticated and serene. Several high-end tavernas nearby offer fresh catch of the day after your swim.

Navagio (Shipwreck Beach): The World-Famous Neighbor The Iconic Choice. Although technically just around the cape on the North-West coast, Navagio is best accessed from your local harbor, Agios Nikolaos.

  • The Luxury Way: Forget the crowded group tours. Board a private speedboat directly from the port (4km from the villa) and reach the shipwreck in 20 minutes.

  • Insider Tip: Ask your skipper to leave at 8:30 AM. You will arrive before the commercial boats and have the most famous beach in the world almost entirely to yourself.

Agriosikia & Klimati: The Secret Sanctuaries The Privacy Choice. These are the gems that maps often miss. Agriosikia and Klimati are small, secluded coves that offer total isolation. No beach bars, no loud music—just the sound of the waves and the crickets.

The Privilege of Proximity All these spectacular locations are within a 7-minute radius of The Luminous Villa. While others drive an hour to glimpse these waters, for you, they are simply your local neighborhood.
